Radiology Alliance

Keeping Care Affordable

BlueCross is focused on making sure our members have access to affordable, high-quality care, and we’re working to reach a new agreement with Radiology Alliance and Associates in Diagnostic Radiology (ADR).  Here's what you need to know.

Where We Stand

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has been working to sign a new contract with Radiology Alliance, one of the state’s largest private radiology practice groups, mainly serving hospitals, outpatient facilities and clinics in the Middle Tennessee and Chattanooga areas. The Associates in Diagnostic Radiology (ADR) group in Chattanooga is part of Radiology Alliance.

Radiology Alliance providers are valued partners in providing services to our members, and we want to continue our longstanding relationship. We believe it’s our responsibility to help slow the increasing cost of medical services, which drives up the cost of care for our members.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to reach an agreement. As of April 1, 2021, Radiology Alliance is no longer in-network for BlueCross members covered by:

Network P
Network S
BlueCare
BlueCare Plus
TennCareSelect

Additionally, Radiology Alliance has elected to leave our Medicare Advantage network as of April 19, 2021.

We Are Your Advocate

We’ve always focused on ensuring affordability of care, and in the COVID-19 era, that matters more than ever. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Our first responsibility is to our members – making sure you have access to high-quality in-network care and keeping the cost of that care affordable.
  • It is difficult to keep coverage affordable for our members if we’re paying significantly more to some health care providers for the same care.
  • We will continue to work to reach an equitable agreement with Radiology Alliance.
